Skip the hotels and find yourself a riad in Morocco. A riad is a traditional Moroccan house or palace with an interior garden, many of them now guesthouse / b&b style accommodations. We went with Riad Aliya in Marrakesh. It was closer to the market and has a small pool, compared to some of the others within our price range.
